I could not be more pleased with my Yak. It flies great, it is very light for its sized, the covering is fantastic, it comes with all the carbon fiber components, it comes with most of the work done for you, and best of all you can have it like you want it.

100CC YAK54 building thread

I like the hatch in the aft end for the tailwheel stuff. Makes for easy modifications or repairs!

Can't say the same about the rudder hinges but if you have a need to remove a rudder for transport they have their advantages.

Tailwheel steering is limited to rudder deflections so no more over castering if desired. Makes for a super simple steering linkage installation though. Highs and lows to each side of the assembly methods I suppose.

Looks like the plane is nearly idiot proof and a fast assembly. ......

30% Yak custom scheme

This thing is gonna be sweet. I had submitted my design for the plane a while back, and Tony is ready to build it soon. He said he will get me some pics from China, so I thought It would be cool to post them before I get the plane to see the covering process

-It is sized like a 50cc plane. The Extreme flight is huge, so is the 3dh as big as my old 33%! I already have a 100cc, and the whole reason for me getting a 50cc in I can lock it in my topper without pulling the stabs, bash around on the jobsite or mx track, or cruise to the field no trailer.
-At my altitude, the 3dh and ef would have weight issues using a 50cc on stock muffler and I want to keep it simple. The pilots build really light
-I am a picky mofo as far as blems, and the Pilot I already have was perfect out of the crate! The EF I have is also perfect, a reason why it was also a consideration. I've had other high end ARFs with construction blems out of the box that just tweaked me out
-Custom sceme..........sweet!
-A great deal going right now, DL55 and a 30% plane to your door for $999! With carbon tubes, gear & spinner!

50cc YAK in Sweden

Hej hopp
Så har då min YAK trillat in. De kom fram till sverige på några dagar men tyvärr hade vi ingen möjlighet att vara hemma på förmiddagarna då DHL ville lämna paketet. Så igår fredag 13/12 var frugan hemma och mottog paketet. Jag säger bara en sak om DHL och de är att de är inte varsamma om de gods de fraktar så jag är JÄKLIGT glad att Pilot RC packar sin paket med 5mm plywood runt om.

Igår kväll fick man jobba över givetvis och när man kom hem sent var man något sugen på att öppna paketet men de fanns givetvis ingen tid över när regeringen sagt sitt. Idag var de ungefär samma visa men nu i natt när frugan sover så smög jag ner och började öppna paketen
Planet kommer i TVÅ lådor väl inslagna och ihop spika plywood. DHL och tullen var givevis tvugna och bryta upp lådorna för att leta efter gud vet vad så när jag fick dem i min famn hängde de mest ihop med lite tejpbitar . Nåja här följer lite bilder på de jag han titta på inatt.

50CC Pilot RC Extra 260 - BUILD

Hey guys.

I'm building a Pilot RC 30% Extra 260 for a buddy of mine.
He has no Giant Scale experience, so I am building the plane for him.

First impressions:

The kit came in a wood box, and was very protected. It arrived from China in 4 days, completely un harmed. (I did not get shots of the packageing, my buddy Kevin had pulled the plane out of the box before I had a chance to shoot it)

The quality of the kit is nice, and the covering is amazing.
The kit feels REALLY light.
The hinging is done, and the inside and outside hinges are "Pinned" in place with metal pins! Nice touch. Also, the cowl is internally mounted so there are no exposed bolts.
And finally the hardware and accessories included with the kit is very complete and all seems to be very usable.
Included with the kit was a nice set of Carbon Fiber accessories. Wing and stab tubes, spinner and landing gear are all carbon fiber.....
